My SEO Checklist 101
Whew!! I was too busy for the past month that I even forgot to update my blog. Anyway, below are some information that came into my mind a while ago and think it is better if I post it in my site as additional content and tutorial for visitors.
Enjoy reading…..
1. Choosing a Domain – Always think of a domain that is easy to read, say and understand. If you can include keyword in your domain name then it is better but still there is a negative part on it. It is harder for surfers and visitors to remember longer names so choose the best one suited for your taste, company name and take into consideration as well the optimization part.
2. Hosting Uptime – This is always overlooked by most of domain owners. Always choose a reliable hosting company to host your domain name. you can do this by making a research and background check to every hosting company that you know before testing their services. Keep in mind that if your hosting or service provider is down, then your websites does not exist as well.
3. www or not www – Choose between http://www.domainname.com/ and http://domainamen.com/ the two and always stick to it. This will affect your website’s page rank in the future so it is best to stick to just one of the said formats. I recommend using www since majority of surfers or internet users tend to use www.domainname.com instead of just typing the domain without using www.
4. Website Design – Always plan the best design to capture your visitors attention and give show them what they expected to see. Offering them an easy to use navigation, search box for terms if they can’t find that they are looking for. Simple website design is far better than complex designs.
5. Directory structure – Try to organize your directory but make them close the root directory. Avoid using http://www.domainname.com/dir1/dir1/dir1/ make it simple and make the depth in to 2 level depths at much as possible.
6. Keyword in Sub-directories – try to use targeted keyword as directory name when you use sub directories in your domain name. If you are targeting naruto movies the using http://www.domainname.com/naruto-movies/ will be better.
