If possible wrap your important keyword with H1 and other heading tags for other targeted keywords but don’t over use it. Using one H1, one H2 and so on is enough for every page. Use cascading style sheets (CSS) to format heading formatted text if it is too big or too small.

Using a word “keyword” once in 100 words will give you a keyword density of 1% and so on. As for me, I think the advisable keyword density should range from 3 % 3.75% for your keyword in each page.

Keyword Prominence – This refers on how prominent a particular keyword in a particular web page. It is important to place keywords in the start of at least near in the beginning of title, meta tags, start of a webpage or start of the first sentence or paragraph of your webpage’ content.
